As a Senior Credit Risk Analyst, you will be an integral part of our risk management department, using your expertise in credit analysis, financial analysis, and credit risk analysis to evaluate and mitigate potential risks associated with lending and credit activities. Your analytical skills will be essential in assessing the creditworthiness of potential clients, identifying potential risks, and making data-driven recommendations to support our growth strategies. Responsibilities: - Conduct thorough credit analysis on new and existing clients, utilizing both qualitative and quantitative methods to evaluate their financial health and creditworthiness. - Perform detailed financial analysis, including reviewing financial statements, cash flow analysis, and ratio analysis, to assess credit risk and provide comprehensive risk assessments. - Develop and maintain risk models and frameworks to identify, measure, and manage credit risk exposure across various portfolios. - Prepare detailed reports and presentations for senior management, providing insights and recommendations on credit risk management strategies. - Monitor and assess the performance of existing credit portfolios, identifying any signs of deterioration and implementing appropriate risk mitigation measures. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, treasury, and legal, to ensure a comprehensive approach to risk management. - Participate in budgeting and forecasting activities, providing insights on potential risks and helping to develop strategies to minimize financial impact. - Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and economic developments that may impact credit risk, and adapt risk management strategies accordingly. - Mentor and provide guidance to junior analysts, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth within the team. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field (Master's degree or relevant professional certification such as CFA, FRM, or CPA is a plus). - Minimum of 5 years of experience in credit analysis, financial analysis, and credit risk analysis within a financial services or banking environment. - Strong understanding of credit risk management principles, methodologies, and best practices. - Proficiency in financial modeling, data analysis, and risk assessment tools. - Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide strategic recommendations. - Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. - Detail-oriented, with strong organizational and time management skills to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial software applications. - Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
